In his book, “Magnetic Sponsoring,”
Mike Dillard teaches you, the network marketer, how to apply the proper marketing strategies that will turn you into a magnetic sponsor.

Though the “Magnetic Sponsoring” book only prints out 49 pages of content, it does not teach network marketers how to advertise their business, it is a guide, not an exact step by step road map. I can compare the Magnetic Sponsoring book to a conversation Neo and Morpheus had concerning a woman known as “The Oracle” in “The Matrix” the movie 1999.

In a book like this, the information has to be generic and serve as a guide designed to help the network marketer to become a magnetic sponsor, but he/she has to “walk through the door” and apply the information contained therein.

Mike Dillard, once a surgeon recruiter for many hospitals quit his job and became a table waiter in order to pursue his career in network marketing. After discovering the proper use of positioning, and “sellucation” his term for the art of self-selling through education, sponsored 35 personal reps. and grew his organization to over 500 within just months and averaged over $500,000 dollars per year in volume sales.

Today he spends his time and efforts teaching network marketers the proper strategies of marketing and magnetic sponsoring, as well as serving as a marketing consultant to industry leaders.

In “Magnetic Sponsoring,” I found out that the strategy of the ABC business model is the most valuable a networker can learn. Mike doesn’t just tell you what Part A, Part B, or Part C is. He teaches you how to apply that principle in your MLM business,network marketing business, internet marketing business, or what ever you want to call it in order to keep your business running, and to make sure there is constant cash flow, and growth.

This book truly brings a fresh, high energy, revolutionary, and an effective approach to network marketing. “Sellucation” is intertwined through out the entire course. Educating prospects and applying the franchise business model is essential for network marketers to become magnetic sponsors.

Though it took me some time to fully understand how to apply magnetic sponsoring marketing techniques into my business, I feel that even people with little or no experience in MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business,should have no problems applying the proper marketing strategies found within the book after reading it a few times.

In his newsletter, Mike guarantees that in just ten days, he can turn you into a MLM lead & cash generating wiz! I have to confess that at first, I did not really believe that; I thought he was just another guy creating a lot of hype to make a quick buck. After reading his “Magnetic Sponsoring” book however, I really see that he can actually back up his claim.

One thing I felt Mike could have done to make his book even better, was maybe expanding on the section about franchising a network marketing business with more specific, detailed explanations and/or illustrations as to how exactly this strategy should be applied so that the reader learns to apply this technique a lot faster, and effectively to his/her MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business. But then again, the information is very generic and it applies to any business. As long as is read carefully a few times, there souldn’t be any problem applying those strategies.

Based on the claims that Mike makes in his free 10-day boot camp training, and in his “Magnetic Sponsoring” book, I could not think of any questions left unanswered, or any unfulfilled promises.

If you are in MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business, you know that the life blood of any business are leads to generate prospects. In order to accomplish that you have to advertise and/or buy leads. If you are running your business on a shoe string budget, and want to generate prospects, generate cash to fund your advertising, and do NOT want to spend yourself out of business buying expensive leads, then my highest recommendation is this: On a five star rating, one being the worst and five being the best, I give the “Magnetic Sponsoring” book a four star rating.

Though Mike Dillard has already produced a follow up ebook with 13 special reports on magnetic sponsoring that he gives as a bonus for acquiring the book, I hope he produces yet another more thorough breakdown of proper network marketing techniques book that teaches how to become extremely magnetic in network marketing.

Multi-level marketing, or MLM, has taken the world by storm. This ingenious manner of direct selling allows the customer to become a representative of the MLM program. As a result, the customer-cum-recruit would be given the opportunity to earn from his efforts.

MLM has been implemented for the online audience in recent years, further elevating its popularity to new heights. A lot are joining MLM programs in this day and age.

But only a few are succeeding.

The reason? It’s because countless multi-level marketers are committing the same mistakes over and over again. Instead of learning from the errors of their predecessors, they fall victim to the very same faults, thus jeopardizing their chances of attaining success in the MLM field.

What are these mistakes? Better yet, how can you avoid them?

1. Believing that MLM is a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. Any person who has experienced a certain degree of success with MLM would tell you that this system is far from being one of those profitable opportunities that you could pursue while being idle. 2. Believing your own hype. This is easy. I’m too good for this job. I could do these with my eyes closed. These are statements born from confidence or overconfidence to be more precise. And this haughty disposition could very well be your number one obstacle to attaining success with MLM. Don’t get me wrong. A certain level of confidence will serve you well. You will have to win some sales for the MLM program after all, and you’d have to believe in the said program to be able to convince others to join the cause. And this requires confidence. The right kind of confidence, that is. But too much of the same would make you rest on your laurels, which is something you cannot afford in this line of business.

3. Leads are useless. This kind of attitude is doomed from the very beginning. Leads are the lifeblood of any MLM campaign. Leads represent your prospects, your future recruits. Without leads, your MLM campaign is sure to be a failure.

4. Generating a certain volume of leads is enough. Again, this is an attitude that would spell doom for your success. Lead generation is, as it should be, a continuous commitment. It should never cease. Even if you feel that you have generated enough leads from which you could convert some new recruits, there will come a time when all those leads would be exhausted. What then? Where will you gather your earning potentials if you have stopped looking for leads? A multi-level marketer’s task is to continuously and unceasingly discover new prospects everyday. Let’s face it, its the only way by which you could sustain the profitability of your MLM campaign.

5. Lack of focus. Many multi-level marketers are of the belief that they should join as many MLM programs as allowable to provide for themselves several income streams from which they could derive their earnings. This could prove dangerous. Spreading yourself too think by engaging in several programs at the same time would make you lose your focus. Instead of concentrating all your efforts to achieve success with one program, you’d be dividing the same among several platforms. The best way to deal with things is to firmly establish yourself in one program before venturing to the next. Build a solid down line from which you could earn some residual income in a sustainable and substantial level before joining another program. This way, you’d be ensuring that you’ll receive some profit from the first program even while you’re concentrated on the new one.

In MLM marketing, you can start your business for less than $100 and literally choose the coach or leader who will train you. Of course this will involve doing a little research on the team leader you choose to work with. But in the end, it will be time well spent.

Many people are still saddled with antiquated MLM training and ideas of how the old multilevel companies were run in the 1960′s and 70′s.

Some of the more successful marketers had the good fortune to have had the proper MLM training to make them more profitable than their competitors. What was that one secret that they learned in Multi-Level Marketing before the rest?

The quickest way to failure in MLM is to quit. You must make the commitment to your business right from the beginning.

Choose a leader who has experienced some bumps in MLM. A coach that can relate to the pot holes in the road to success.

2. Find a team leader who continuously studies and researches the industry.

A professional networker will subscribe to magazines in their area of expertise, attend seminars to keep up-to-date on what’s happening in the MLM world.

3. Make sure that they have a proven track record.

A talented coach will also prove their worth in many ways. Generally speaking, you will not rise higher than your team leaders, so know what your goals are and find a coach who has realistic goals that surpass yours.

4. Find a coach who knows the ins and outs of marketing.

Define Network marketing, DUH!, marketing through networking. An essential part of this equation is the effective marketing of your networking business.

Marketing can eat up a small budget in no time flat. Therefore, you must learn from your coach what works, from what does not work, so that you can use your marketing dollars most efficently.

The name of the game is acquiring the greatest gain from your monthly budget. Leverage is the main thrust behind network marketing. This translates into small effort to produce the greatest gain.

Find yourself a coach who can train you on how to use the most up-to-date MLM tools such as teleconferencing, direct mail, the Internet and broadcast media. This is a business so you must treat it as one.

Savvy marketing executives and business owners are leading a new business trend. No longer content with being passive participants in networking groups, they are taking charge of their business growth and producing their own events designed to generate more leads and more sales.

The event marketing formula is a simple one. Host an event whereby you create an opportunity for your guests to network. Give away valuable information that helps your guests in their professional and personal life. And then take an opportunity to pitch your wares.

Is it generating more leads and more sales? You bet! Trading valuable information for leads and sales can truly be a rewarding social, financial and business experience. And leveraging that information in the context of producing your own networking events has its benefits. For example, as the event producer, you create the potential to:

Quickly garner trust as a leader in your area of expertise.
Collect attendee information and use it to follow up.
Create opportunity for yourself and others.
Disseminate valuable information that creates real world results for your networking group.
Entertain and educate your clients, suppliers and potential customers which fosters relationships and builds more trust.
Most importantly, you create a built-in opportunity to pitch your wares or upsell your products and services to a specific target market.

When producing networking events, there are few guidelines you want to follow:

No one appreciates a maverick producer. The last maverick event I went to, the leader, a group insurance re-seller by trade, was clearly using his group to scope out potential candidates for something else. The day following his event, I received his multi-level-marketing pitch. Annoyed by my own ignorance, I now interview network group leaders before I find myself attending potential maverick productions.

Avoid being a passive event producer (PEP). A PEP is a business professional with an authentic agenda to help grow local businesses or help charities. However, PEP producers often fall short of creating fruitful networking experiences. For example, one of our local networking groups invites its members to a different local business once a month. The owner gives a very dull speech about the history of the business. Afterwards, there is one hour for us to network with wine and cheese in hand. The unfortunate part is that both the PEP and the business host have completely missed the opportunity to engage the guests and create a critical flow of information. A well produced event might hire an entertaining host and lead networking games and exercises and lead active participation. The whole idea is to raise the energy level in the room and engage your guests. This creative energy usually manifests into opportunity because you have stimulated the flow of information.

Even though the lack of a good networking structure will eventually diminish your audience, rigid rules are almost worst. There is nothing that takes the fun out of networking more than unrealistic rules. While implementing group traditions and guidelines is a positive thing to do, rigid rules will eventually suck the creativity out of the group. A healthy approach is to create realistic goals for your guests while they are present in the room. Avoid setting up future expectations such as being penalized if you miss a meeting, or having to bring two leads before entering the next event. These types of goals may be setting your guests up for failure. The long term effect is that your events will not attract new prospects.

A great networking event engages you from the minute you receive your invitation to when you exit the room. The successful producer has planned every logistical detail and delivers Valuable Information in an Entertaining Context(VIEC). A VIEC producer thought of the perfect room, perfect music, perfect sound system, perfect guest speaker, and perfect set up for food and beverage. They have given away valuable information that helps people, and have implemented networking games that enroll every single person in that room. They implement successful traditions, guidelines and have strategies to keep the group energy up the entire event. They have collected and disseminated information, created opportunity and made the whole experience entertaining. And while people are offering you great testimonials about how much value your event created in their lives, you too will enjoy the leads and sales your VIEC event generated for you.
